Our custom home is still under construction from Alex Custom Homes but I could not wait for it to be completed to leave a review! We have been ecstatic with the quality of the build, the speed of the build, and the responsiveness of the team. Owners Tom and Kevin Alex are always available to answer any questions or concerns. Building and Construction supervisors Gary and Colby are at the site virtually every day ensuring work is perfect and to their high standards. They have even pointed out and corrected things to us that they were not 100% happy with, things we never would have even noticed or complained about. Design consultant Candice has been very helpful with design selections, and her services are all included in the price of your home! My wife and I can be very picky, we made several changes along the way, but we are never made to feel like we are being a nuisance or a “problem” client. A process they use that I really love is the group text for our build. Everyone from owner on down is a member of the group and if I text a question at 6:00 pm, I get an answer by 6:15! You absolutely can not go wrong with Alex Builders!

After a terrible experience with another builder that went on much too long, I was lucky enough to find Alex Custom Homes. From the beginning it was obvious that customer service was a priority for them. We first met with Kevin and Tom in mid November and immediately knew we were in good hands. They were interested in our story and vision and made us feel comfortable about building a home from several states away. At no time did we have a message ignored or a phone call not answered. Even the design process, which can be a daunting task, was streamlined and downright enjoyable thanks to our designer, Peggy. She was knowledgeable, open to our ideas and a pleasure to work with. Our site supervisor, Colby, was very hands on and made sure everything was on schedule and ran smoothly. He always made time for our questions and made it his priority to deliver solutions and head off anything questionable before it became a problem. We broke ground in March and have a beautiful home in September, all thanks to the team at Alex Custom Homes. If you need a builder, look no further. They are the best at what they do.

Going through the design and budgeting process with Kevin was the best experience we had with any builder in Lake County. He came prepared with quotes, ideas, and a grea plan to our very fist meeting. Unfortunately, we weren't able to build at this time, but when we are ready, Alex Custom Homes will be our first call.

We are so thrilled to have Kevin and the team at Alex Custom Homes build our dream! We came to them with our own ideas and they made it a reality. Building a custom home from the ground up can be a daunting process but Kevin, Gary, Peggy and the entire team made sure it was perfect. We have been in our home for approximately 6 weeks and are loving it! We could not be happier.
